Review

Almanac Restaurant My wife and I collaborated on this review. We had brought along an other couple which provided a wider variety of dishes to review.
Chicken Neptune entree On one of the windiest evenings in recent memory, We dined at the Almanac Restaurant in Stony Plain. This establishment also has a lounge, which features monthly comedy club acts. After a good, chilled glass of Chardonnay, my party of four ordered a variety of meals. Laura decided on the Chicken Parmesan entree, which also comes with a choice of soup or salad. Because of the acidity of the tomato sauce on the spaghetti, she wished she would have ordered a salad instead of soup. Chicken Parmesan entree But, the red pepper bisque soup was quite flavorful, though fairly spicy. The pasta itself was ordinary fare, but I  enjoyed the tasty schnitzel-like chicken breast. As this was a busy Friday night, it took about 20 minutes to receive our meals. But, the service overall was good.
Steak Sandwich
Almanac Entrance The last time we visited this restaurant was on Saturday evening in March. At that time, my husband and I ordered the $10.99 hamburger and sweet potato fries. Now I am not a ‘burger’ person, but these burgers are really delicious! If you love burgers, order this inexpensive and tasty meal! If you’re not wild about sweet potato fries, you can order regular fries instead. With meals ranging from $10.99 to $25, the Almanac Restaurant serves tasty meals for reasonable prices.

Gisele ordered the Chicken Neptune, which she loved! The dish featured a delectable blending of chicken, shrimp, and scallops in a delicious sauce. From Gisele's behavior I would say this is a must try dish at the Almanac.

Steve ordered a steak sandwich (probably called something else on their menu) with regular fries instead of sweet potato fries. He especially liked the juicy steak.

I am sure we will be back to the Almanac for more of their fine fare and hopefully we can catch some more of their comedy nights.

Decore

At one time this place was a garage where I actually have had my car repaired in the past so considering that they have done a fabulous job of decorating!

Seating

Seating was comfy without being crowded.
