Review
We are within walking distance from this restaurant so it is fitting that this is our first real review. I should also mention that my wife and I are both contributing to this review, So I will let my better half start.
At about 5:30 pm on the lovely spring day of March 31, 2010, I sat at a comfortable table at the Something Else Restaurant in Spruce Grove, Alberta. The Greek dance music – coupled with my view of attractive green plants – set just the right mood for me. Hmm. Did the Greek dance music tease me into ordering Greek food? Probably not, but the chicken souvlaki I ordered was excellent. For under $20, I received a very hearty meal. Served on a large colorful plate, tender grilled chicken breast pieces, flavorful rice, roasted potatoes, pita bread, creamy tzatziki, and a delicious Greek salad.
Before 6 pm, my food arrived in just 15 minutes! My server was helpful and attentive throughout the evening. I highly recommend the chicken souvlaki for flavor and nutritional value. It is also a very satisfying meal for under 20 bucks! For variety, lamb and beef souvlaki are also on the menu. And, a Caesar salad can also be substituted for the Greek salad.
We eat here often. It is really the best restaurant in Spruce Grove in my opinion. I have never had a bad meal here. The service has always been great.
It is a family run business and not a chain which right away makes it unique.
Their menu is moderately priced and there is enough variety to satisfy just about anyone. They lean towards the Greek cuisine, which makes sense since the owners are Greek and they do it very well. I have had the roast lamb and it is done just right. But our Fav is the Chicken Souvlaki. I have had the lamb and beef souvlaki but the chicken somehow wins the prize.
They have a very nice rack of baby back ribs that I get a hankerin' for every so often. But on this night I opted for lagsanga which is also one of my favorites.

They also have a lunch menu as well which is a modified dinner menu.
If you are planning to eat supper around 6 pm on a Friday or Saturday night plan to wait as there always seems to be line up. We always go early just to avoid the rush.
They also have a room for special occasions and parties that you can book in advance.
I love a dry red wine and there house wine, Torcornal a wine from Chile does just fine. I now use it as our table wine at home.
Hope to see you there we know you will enjoy!
Decore
The decor is more western than Greek. It is very clean and well kept and just enough style to let you know this is not just your average place. The thing I like is that it is not too noisy, you can actually have a private conversation without yelling.
Seating
Both booths and tables. Booths are very roomy and can seat 6. The tables are nicely spaced with comfy chairs.
